download @ http://hypermammut.sourceforge.net/paulstretch/

  1. Open the application.
  2. Open an mp3 in the application (I prefer orchestral tracks eg: Hans Zimmer - Journey to the line)
  3. On the parameters tab and pull the stretch bar till the track is like 4-6 hours in length

  4. On the process tab, put a check mark in octave mixer, and increase the -2 bar to 75% and the +2 bar to about 25%

  5. Increase volume and get ready for epic walls of ambient drone

Anytime I have trouble focusing this always does the trick. It drowns out all environment sounds incredibly well and puts me in a state where I get a lot done quickly. Chord progressions become swells and build up over the course of several minutes instead of seconds.

    Cheers.

This is really cool, and I don't even study to ambient. Maybe it's time to start. Thanks for the share!

Oh, and don't use any music with dissonance or harsh vocals. I tried a metal song and...lol.
