Hello everyone I'm a first time user and just had some quick questions as to what resources are worth using for Part 1 of NBEO. Currently I will be using KMK as I've heard many great things from other students, but I was also wondering if other resources such as optoprep or Butterworth are useful as well. I also came across this site while on google, but have never heard of it and was wondering if anyone has heard of it or used it:

Any advice is appreciated and thank you in advance!

Personally, I felt K.M.K. was an absurd waste of my time and my money.

You know, everyone has different study styles so please consider that as you read the responses.

I thought KMK was worth every penny. KMK was the only outside study aid that I used. For me, I need to read the material first before hearing a lecture, which was exactly how KMK is designed. I could review the material by myself, using the books, and then the lectures really helped the material stick. In my class, maybe 1-2 people did not use KMK. I have heard of the alternative study courses you mentioned, but do not know anyone who used them.

Good luck!

God kmk is expensive! I wonder if someone would be interested in selling their old copies to me (PM me).

I am preparing for the exams too but I have a friend that just took the exams and passed and ready to give those books out. Let me know if you are still interested. Inbox me [email protected] becos I don't come to this forum very often. When are you looking forward to write the exams?. We can share ideas together if that's ok.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll be sitting for the exam next Spring, but I like planning aahead. I just received an email about some new nbeo question bank (odquestions.com). I wonder how this compares to kmk's flashcards. Any experience with this website? I like learning from practice questions so I might give it a try.
