Hello, I've been studying for about a month and a half now and plan to take the DAT in approximately a month. The problem is that for the last three weeks I've been taking practice exams and studying from them afterwards. Even though I've been actually dedicated about learning from my mistakes in those practice exams I feel like I've hit a rut in my studies. I keep on scoring 19-21 across the board. Do you guys have any advice for me?

Stop putting so much time and effort into practice exams, from what has been posted on SDN lately it seems to stress students out..put more effort into learning.
and if you are getting 19-21 I would say you are in a good shape.
good luck

Try taking a few days off. This is not as crazy as it sounds! I am taking my DAT at the end of May and just recently I had to take a few days off to study/take an orgo test. Today was my first day back and I simulated a DAT Bootcamp test to see how much info I forgot.... Bio: 25, GC: 30, OC: 27, PAT: 21, RC: 20, QR: 23!! And I suck at QR! These are definitely my best scores, before this I was averaging 20ish? I think that the lack of DAT studying/thinking about it for a few days definitely had an effect. Needless to say, I will definitely be taking the day off before the test and doing nothing but relaxing and a few PAT problems. Sometimes that can be just as important.

those are really impressive scores my friend! maybe if I was scoring like that I would feel more at ease myself! Would you be able to tell me what you have done as far as GC strategy? that is constantly my lowest score and I see you killed it. I will definitely be taking a few days off though i think i need to quit thinking about it for a bit! good luck!!

To be honest I'm just chalking that 30 up to me recognizing a couple of "familiar" answer choices (even though I tried not t0) because I've went through the Bootcamp tests once before. Today I took a new test and scored a 22 on GC so there you go :smack:. But as far as GC, I had to use Chad's to re familiarize myself with the material, then Bootcamp/Destroyer and now I am moving on to simulated questions.
