Ok,I am in MS1, and was wondering how other MS1's study through the week.
Do you folks study set number of hours a day, or is it subject specific? How many hours is standard, say,per day?
thanks 🙂

2-2.5 in normal week, but up to as many 10-12 around exam weeks.

At orientation the 5th years told us we should study 2 hours for every class hour. We had 8 hours of classes each day...do the math.

Frankly, if I get through half of the stuff they teach each day then I feel good. That's 3.5 to 4 hours each night. Then, I usually spend the weekend studying the rest of the stuff...if it's important.

They seem to tell that 2 hours for every hour of class time at every level of school I have been in starting from middle school...good to know they still expect it in Medical School. I wonder how many people actually can study THAT much without burning out within a few months.....or dying from lack of sleep.
