hey everyone. i know i dont post on here at all.. but i wanted to thank everyone for their advice regarding this DAT test that is haunting all of us.
i retook the test not too long ago.. first time i took it was last yr. my sciences improved 3-4 points and math and reading 2 points. pat stayed the same. i wanted to say a few things..
first of all .. i know it gets very intimidating when you see all these high scores on SDN. trust me !! it did not help me.. it actually made it worse for me. so really my advice dont look into the scores that are posted here.
i really suggest studying long hours but shorter amount of time (if you can). because so much of the information is in the short term memory.
use kaplan exams, the blue book, topscore, achiever, shaums outline, even the exam kracker stuff... but i would not lie.. and i would not advertise here... you should definitely use the destroyer. this is no advantage to me so im not just BSing .. so for whoever says " yea yea.. stop advertising"... trust me.. this is noo advertisement! i think it was extremely helpful to me. BUT the book alone is not enough. what im saying is that study what you need to..make sure you have a solid foundation and then go do the destroyer. This way you will get a lot out of it .you will be surprised how much MORE info you will learn. the multiple choice questions makes you think... and the answers will really explain it to you and will also direct you to more information that is necessary to know.
Call Dr. Romano and Nancy and they are more than happy to help you. They help you with the subjects and support you emotionally( in my case.. thank you nancy =) ) its a stressful time so if you have ppl that understand your pain and help you out.. it really makes a difference.
I made a lot of q cards from the questions and answers of destroyer and it really helped me. But make sure you do a lot of full length exams so youre prepared and build your stamina for the exam.
If you have any questions pls let me know.
