I just got accepted to Chicago State University School of Pharmacy and I was wondering if anyone can give a p1 any study tips to be a great Pharmacy student.
switch to something else. you are now trying to hop on the sinking ship. I know you wont listen to me anyways but you will realize once you start the class. You will meet so many dumb ass ppl in your class and also will see how awful the saturation is. Just ask any pharmacist you encounter about job market, 8/10 will tell you they regret coming to pharmacy world.
Study as you go would be my advice. I crammed a lot my first semester and it sucked, made it way harder than it really was. The material isn't that difficult but there is a lot of it. That and knowing your top 200 drugs you should be golden.
They didn't answer your question, but what they said is true.
If you don't want to listen to the overwhelming recommendations against getting a PharmD, here's my advice:
You will have courses full of information you can avoid learning. Learn it anyway. It will help you understand later material.
Record classes and listen to them a few times.
Learn as much as you can from tests. Bombing your first biochem exam can teach you a lot about how the professor writes exams and be more valuable than getting a good grade and not learning what to focus on in the future.
join some frats and just cruise your way through no studying needed.
if you wanna do it the honorable yet exhausting way try studying???
Like 1-2 hours everyday? It's not any different than undergrad.
