Hey Everyone, I just wanted to start this forum to help myself and possible other who have trouble with studying. My first two years as a biology major, I notice that I have a very difficult time with test taking.
I have tried changing my studying habits by reading, taking note in class then reviewing the notes, and going over old test, but it seem as this does not help what so ever. At my liberal art school I have to take other class outside of my major (sociology, New and Old Testament, Philology, ect..) in these classes I have received a final grade above a C and these are multiple choice and some time mix in with essays. It seems like I do way better in non-science based courses than science.
When it comes to taking science test for some reason it's like I freeze, start second guessing and this can even happen when I feel like I know and understand the material. This truly makes me second guess whether I should even go to medical school since my science teacher try to based their test off the MCAT.
😱 My bad test taking skill have drag down to a GPA that I am not happy with what so ever, and I truly want to at least work hard to the best of my ability these last two years of undergrad.
Do you have any tips on how to get better at taking science test?
Have any of you have had this problem and over came this issue?
Could it be that I'm not interested in science anymore and have lost focus?😕
😛On a side note: Can I graduate with my biology degree without taking physics and biochem and take these classes at a community college?
