How much studying do anesthesia residents typically do at home?
I've been talking with radiology and derm residents who indicate that while they have fairly short days at work, they're inundated with ~2-4 hours of reading daily in order to keep up with all the material. (I'm guessing mostly for passing the boards)
Somehow I don't see this as being feasible in the more surgery-oriented fields. Does such a responsibility exist in anesthesia?
