How do you guys recommend studying these materials?
I'm getting terrible scores on Ochem, GC and QC on the past 2 Achiever tests I took!!

I'm getting average PAT/BIO, but I felt that I studied my butt off for Ochem and GC, but I'm getting scores too embarassing to post...

Any ideas?
My test is 1/9, and I was thinking to wrap up the studies with the practice exams, but now I am worried ****less:scared:

Damn man. Consider post-poning. You should be able to be good with all of gen/orgo chem before exam IMO.

Step 1: Take a chill pill.

If you can get access to Topscore or qvault, I'd take that and see how you do, because it's much more representative than Achiever is for GC and OC. Some of the Achiever stuff like GC calculation is way too hard. I was getting anywhere from 14 to 17 on my practice exams.

You're probably fine. Don't postpone before taking a diagnostic Topscore or qvault.

I never took practice tests because I knew all they would accomplish was freaking me out. On test day, you'll be "in the zone." I never perform well on simulated tests because I know it isn't the real deal and I just get bored. I'd rather keep reviewing entire concepts rather than just isolated applications of the things I've learned.
If you feel like you know Chad, I think you're good. I did the Destroyer, but it was extreme overkill. Chad was all I needed. Take a deep breath and don't let this get you upset; it'll mess with you on test day. To be honest, I did try to take one mini RC test a few days before my DAT--I didn't do so hot on it and it really freaked me out, even on test day. It didn't help anything, it just made things worse.
Keep reviewing, and keep your head up. Best of luck!!! 😀

I would go over the concepts again. Use ACS, Organic chemistry as a second language or Organic chemistry Odyssey- a very good review. You should be good for orgo. Then do more Kaplan or Achiever practice tests just to make sure you answer some questions correctly. Hope this helps. Good luck.

I'm going to review all of my Ochem and GC notes today and take a practice SCI/QR today on the achiever.

I have the Kaplan book and the 09' ADA test, so I'll do those too.
With only 3 days before the test, I dont think it makes sense for me to get the Topscore...

Thanks guys, I'll report back in a day!
