Okay so I'm using TPR for biology review, but I am trying to find all the relevant passages for each chapter in the science workbook ... but I still seem to keep encountering questions beyond the scope of the chapter that was covered. The only questions that actually pertain to the chapter I just read are the ones at the end of the TPR review book chapter ... is this just the nature of bio review for the MCAT, or is there a better way to do passages?

Work backwards! Do the passages. Then analyze them in depth using the answer keys. Some of your mistakes will be critical thinking and some of them will be content. Once you have identified the content gaps, fill them immediately with the chapter. Ones that seem beyond the scope of the chapter often involve some sort of critical thinking rather than specific content knowledge. Look over the provided explanations for these questions many times and internalize the processes. This is an incredibly effective way of studying for the MCAT because you get to look at the content in the context of the MCAT from the get go rather than just blindly taking in everything.
