I was wondering if anyone had tried this. For one my first 2 years were taught subject based but the more I am learning, I realize for me it makes more sense and sticks much better when i think of things organ based. So For step 1 studying i was thinking i could spend a week or so on each major system and use a Embryo-Gross-Physio-Pharm-Path aproach to each major system. Then study Biochem, Micro/immuno and behavioral seperatly. Has anyone tried this aproach rather than reviewing all physio, all pharm etc. I think it would all tie in alot better but im slightly scared since i did not learn it this way the first two years.. any thoughts?

As I am starting second year I plan to make my own system-based review book. 🙂 That way I can review all the first year stuff and relate it to second year better.

I was taught subject based but used Kaplan's organ system based books to review for Step 1. I found it very helpful and it tied together some things I never understood during classes.
