I know everyone is different, but how much time should I devote to studying math? I plan on using KBB, DAT Destroyer, and Crack DAT Math as my pure math practice and I'm also using Top Score. My DAT is on July 28th and I've spent most of my time reviewing sciences. Suggestions?

Start next week. I'd say everyday do 30-40 math problems, absolute minimum every other day. Some people only study it for a week and still pull a 19-20, but if you're like me and struggle with solving problems QUICKLY, then it's going to take a large amount of practice

Kaplan sells a math workbook for the pcat that has tons of practice story problems and the basic geometry you will see on the exam. I found these to be very similar to the ones on the DAT. I got mine at barnes and noble and if i remember correctly it was like 20 bucks. totally worth it. (improved my score 2 points in 1 day when I was doing practice exams)

sweet i'll look into that! any suggestions on how long i should spend studying math?

PS - Thanks for the first responce, that was my original plan!

im finding math destroyer to be VERY hard. bad sign?

like on my first test, i spent 2 hours doing it, albeit i was very distracted. but i think on the real test im just gonna do all the easy ones first and mark the hard ones. do as much as a ican kinda thing... QR is not looking good for me...

Definitely go through all tests without timing yourself first. Yes, it is hard - supposedly the real QR section is very similar. So take your time, understand how to attack each problem in a timely manner, because chances are you're going to see some similar to that on the DAT.

After you understand how to do every problem, and why every correct answer is correct, go back to Test #1 and start timing yourself.

From my experience, the actual questions are easy (as in, you will know how to do them). But factor in fatigue, tiredness, and speed, then they become very challenging.

In terms of study materials, you are fine. DAT Destroyer is really good, and their problems are on par. Then obviously anything else is also good. The problem doesn't come in difficulty, it comes from the things I mentioned above. Honestly, I would brush up on some common questions they give you, and do sets of 40 timed. Obviously if you run out of time, note how many questions you did and continue. After doing a set or 2, you should pretty much cover most of the types of problems they give.

One thing I wish I would have done is stress tests. Doing practice problems in loud places, or play loud music, or after working out. They will help simulate test conditions after 4 hours. Obviously, I would do this after I have a strong grasp on the content. That all depends on your level of math.

All in all, math is like the PAT and RC. It feels hard at the beginning, and then you get better with practice. Just make sure you are constantly doing practice problems. The best tip I got out of SDN was to not stop doing Math a month before the test even though you are killing it, mainly because you become slow again.

Just my 2 cents, hopefully I answered some questions.

I cant find this Kaplan PCAT Math workbook anywhere. Any advice on the exact name or where I can find it specifically?
Thanks
