i have an option at my school that i can satisfy my physics series in sussex, england. i was wondering if dental schools look down upon doing this, or do you think it will set me apart?

Some d-schools do not accept foreign coursework. I would check with your school to see how the classes you take while abroad will be recorded on your transcript. Most of my study abroad courses were entered in like I had taken them from my home college. Also talk with your pre-dental advisor to see what they recommend.

I will say that I would be very careful about taking a difficult core class while abroad because often the classes are structured somewhat differently from your US schools so it can take some getting used to. Many are lectures with only a mid-term and final so there is not grade padding with quizzes, assignments, and lab work. It could jeopardize your GPA if adjusting to the course structure is harder than you thought it would be. I personally took exclusively "fluff" classes while abroad and had really hard semesters when I was at my home university.

Have fun in England!!!
