Ive seen that some med schools use a style where the students get in groups and teach themselves??? what was that called again?? PLsomething maybe?!?! Also what schools are involved in this

PBL=Problem Based Learning.

Northwestern is really into it. Almost every school has a PBL component so you can't really run away from it.

i'd say we have just as much as any other PBL school out there so i dunno what u mean by "really into it."

also...dont be misled...u may get the impression on these forums that a school is either strictly PBL or strictly traditional. I'd say that at most schools PBL is a complement to what is learned in lecture. so a "PBL school" still has lecture hours.

the only pure PBL schools that I know of is drexel if you choose their pbl curriculum(i forget what it is called). there are maybe a few others but i dunno them off the top of my head.
