Oh boy...........😱

Here's the dictionary definition from Merriam-Webster:

pharmacy
Main Entry😛har·ma·cy Pronunciation: \ˈfär-mə-sē\ Function:noun Inflected Form(s):plural phar·ma·ciesEtymology:Late Latin pharmacia administration of drugs, from Greek pharmakeia, from pharmakeuein to administer drugs, from pharmakon magic charm, poison, drugDate:1651 1: the art, practice, or profession of preparing, preserving, compounding, and dispensing medical drugs2 a: a place where medicines are compounded or dispensed b: drugstore3: pharmacopoeia 2

Are you talking about subjects that one must take as a prerequisite? If so, then botany and plant biology aren't prereqs anywhere.

You need to be more specific regarding your second question. Are you talking about pre-pharmacy studies at a college or the courses at an actual pharmacy school?

Some pharmacy schools(I can't say most because I don't know) have an herbals course or at least an herbals segment within their therapeutics courses. So you will get some information on herbal supplements, though I'm not sure if that includes ingesting actual plants, or just pill/tablet supplements.

I'm not experieced enough to answer question 2 accurately, but I've heard therapeutics can be gruesome.

Ummm..........This is just a thought but, why dont you visit the website of any SOP that you are interested in and have a look at their curriculum.🙄 There, you know, on the SOP website, ummm, where school curriculums are posted, because they dont keep them a secret. Oh, and just imagine, you can get descriptions of each class. Wow, thats amazing huh! Then if there are some class descriptions that you dont understand or want more info about, then you come to SDN and ask a semi-informed question. This way people will be willing to answer you. I have to be sarcastic because if you thought enough to search for a pharmacy forum and found SDN, you should be able to find out classes that are taught in pharmacy school. Most pharmacy students here, and the RPh that mentor us are willing to help, but we would like for you to help yourself as well.

Wow............ I just assumed that you were a pre-pharmacy student. Thats the ONLY reason i responded to this. You have listed yourself as a pharmacy student. You dont know what classes you will be taking😱 I am sorry, thats amazing, somehow you have taken prereqs and gotten accepted to a school and you dont even know what you are going to/suppose to learn or what you will be taught at said school. There are some pre-pharmacy students here who can most likely give you the full curriculum of maybe 2-3 schools and tell you why they lke one more than another but you..................wow

It's not my fault . there is no pre- pharmacy student here in Tunisia . we don't have a year for preparation . I passed my bachelor exam with a high score ,choose pharmacy as my future career and this September I will be studying pharmacy but unfortunately the university web site is now under construction.

any way thanks for being so patient.
