My MCAT is in, I'm satisfied with my essay, I'm pretty sure I know which schools I want to apply to, and my main transcript is in.

But I took one college course over the summer in high school at another school, and that transcript isn't received yet.

Submit my AACOMAS or no?

It's pretty late in the cycle to submit. If I was you, I'd wait til the next cycle, submit right away with every thing, and sit pretty til your interviews were scheduled (after secondaries of course).

It's not that late in the cycle that you don't have a chance of getting accepted. IF you feel that you are competitive enough for the schools that you would like to get into, I would definitely submit now. Or you can wait until next cycle and apply early.

For DO... you have some chance. For MD, unless your dad was part of the WHO (giving you some amazing connections) and you had established healthcare programs in several small countries along with perfect grades, MCAT, and everything else a good candidate ought to have, you'd be a bit late to make it even worthwhile... but for DO, if you're a strong applicant (excellent LORs; awesome clinical, volunteer & research experience; 3.6+ GPA; 30+ MCAT), you likely still have time to get into a decent DO program. (Of course, those stats would get you MD if you waited a cycle....)

What I meant was, do I submit now, or wait a few days/week for the other transcript to show up?

you can submit and pay now, but they won't process until they got all of your transcripts. Once you are verified (which is about 6 weeks), and you'll start getting secondaries.

It's a possibly that the OP really wants to go to a DO school.

I would submit now if you've already ordered the transcripts. Then I would call AACOMAS in about a week and make sure they have what they need.

Also, I must agree with PunkmedGirl. People with those stats often CHOOSE DO schools over MD schools. In my study group right now I have a guy with a 30 MCAT and 3.95 GPA, and a girl with a 31 MCAT and a 3.75 GPA. People have a huge misconception about stats and DO/MD schools. I choose DO over MD myself... this person may want to also.

I don't/didn't deny that. I personally like both models equally but for different reasons. Each has some great aspects to it and I like the DO philosophy; however, some people do choose DO simply because it's "all" they could get into that year. My statement was meant as an objective "value-neutral" statement. DO has some great aspects, as does MD...

I understand what you are saying, but the OP did not say anything about DO being his last resort or alluded to it.
