submitted before June 1st, no interviews...?

Hello Kokobean, I submitted June 1st and ended up getting an invitation to interview with Indiana about a month and a half ago. Since then however, I have heard nothing from anyone. I am way happy that I got the one interview, but am beginning to feel a little pressure as I am not hearing form anyone else yet.

wow your stats are amazing and I am very surprised that you have no interviews. Have you called schools to make sure you application is complete?
your stats are almost exactly the same as mine... my aadsas wasnt mailed til the end of august and i've had one interview so far. i really wouldnt worry about it (although you might want to call to make sure the files are all actually complete if you havent already). i feel like my app might not be spectacular but i think its pretty solid, so thats what i'll tell you about yours.

Not that sweet, I know. But I'm hoping to get an interview or two. I'm from Ohio and nothing would make me happier than an interview invite at OSU. I haven't heard anything from them yet, besides the secondary. I did see that some out-of-staters have interviews coming up in the next couple of weeks though. I can't decide on retaking the DAT or not.

your stats are awesome; however, didn't you mention that you took all your pre-req coursework at a CC? this may be one of the reasons why you haven't received an interview yet. if you haven't completed your coursework at a CC, i apologize, i must have you confused w/ someone else.
either way, one would think your dat scores will overshadow your cc work and prove that you're more than capable of a dental school load.

I think you have a great DAT score and the PAT score is just slightly below avg for OSU because there avg PAT scores get bumped up due to higher out of state avg, otherwise their instate applicant's avg is between 16 and 17.
Are you done taking classes at OSU?
if so what did you think of biochem 511?
it's personal preference whether you want to attend a big school or not. I had the same fear when I first started but I quickly realized that once you're in your major, you're always on that side of the campus, converse with the same people in your major. It's like attending a small college under a big umbrella.
yes the football tickets are priceless...just got my season tickets last week.
yes..get them next year. Buckeyes are simply the best.
Have you finished the secondary yet? I haven't submitted mine yet but hopefully will submit it by the end of this week

wow that's pretty amazing, and I am surprised you haven't heard anything from them. I am guessing they are probably busy processing out of state applications.
I was at the dental school a couple days ago and the lady told me that I could expect to hear back within 2 weeks after I submit the secondary. So my guess that they are now starting to process instate applications.
i don't know... people who applied mid june and even beginning july have already gotten interviews.
i have a weird situation, so i don't think my stats mean the same as it would to a normal application. i just wanted to know if the schools are pushing me to the side, or if i can still expect an interview.

Well, don't sit around waiting, get active! call those schools and demand some answers. seriously, what have you got to lose? i call them all the time 😀. gl.
