Submitted Primary App 8/17, still processing?

Hello all, I submitted my primary app (without MCAT score) on 8/17. Around 8/25 I submitted my MCAT score. Status says, Current: Processing. I am a bit concerned thinking I just spent around $800 in primary applications and I may have applied too late for this cycle. Any input on this? Thank you in advance.

I thought it takes a month or so for you to get verified.

Did you waste money? You're not exactly late, but you are not early. What's your mcat/ gpa?

Thank you for the input. So let's say mid-late September for me to be verified, then secondaries may start coming in a month or so later, correct? At that point am I cutting it close to deadlines/reducing chances of acceptances significantly?

Mcat: 10V, 9PS, 9BS, sGPA: 3.5ish/cGPA 3.3 (all expected to raise a bit, being I have this and next semester to graduate). Decent EC's and volunteering (mostly non-clinical and doing some clinical volunteering now). Not exactly a stellar applicant but I am hoping applying broadly enough will yield something promising.

You'll get secondaries the first couple of days after you're verified. Still plenty of time in the app cycle.

Well there is a sigh of relief... Thank you for your input. I will just see where this takes me. Worst case I retake MCAT and re-apply. What's another year, right? 😎

you have average/slightly above average stats which will make you a good applicant. good luck!!

We have similar stats and I just submitted my primary as well.

It's not late. We're no longer early, but we're far from being late. Your stats are competitive and as long as there aren't any glaring weaknesses on your app you'll probably do pretty well this cycle. I bet you'll be verified sometime in the middle of this month.

I sure hope you are right! We do have similar stats, except you trump me on clinical exposure/research 😛 Good stuff! Best of luck to us all...
