submitted primary: Why does it say "Application Status:Submitted to AMCAS - Waiting for Transcript"?

I was wondering if it says this for you guys as well.

My transcript has already arrived last week. I submitted afew minutes ago.

On the left side for application status, it says this

Application Status:Submitted to AMCAS - Waiting for Transcripts

Does it say this for you guys too? Do they mean that it is waiting for verification?

edit: Problem is solved. you just have to wait 5 to 10 minutes and let amcas update itself. It will go back to being normal after that time.

Has your transcript been marked as received? Even after it physically arrives at the AMCAS office, it usually takes an extra few days for them to process the mail and acknowledge receipt.

Alternatively, have you been sure to submit any transcripts from other universities or community colleges where you may have completed coursework?

all my transcripts have been marked as 'recieved'

have you submitted your primary yet? could you check if it says that for you too?

It was like that for me at first - it just takes a few minutes to process, I think. Don't worry!

That caught me off guard as well, since my transcripts were received a few weeks ago already. Just wait a few minutes and it will correct itself. You'll also see that your transcripts have been marked as "received" in your submission confirmation email.

I was just punching in the number on my phone and the status suddenly changed.

it changed to:

Application Status:Submitted to AMCAS - Ready for Review

I guess all is normal now.

I guess now we wait................................................................

I had that same initial "What the..." moment seeing the "Waiting for Transcripts Message" but then about a half hour later it updated. Sigh of relif* Time to enjoy the summer!!!....until secondaries, of course.

Hmm I have the same issue. I received email confirmation 5/7 from AMCAS that my transcripts arrived 5/6.
But after just submitting my app, I noticed my statues said "awaiting transcript". Hopefully in 30 minutes it will update itself and be solved like you guys 😕

Did you guys also received an email after submission that said "Your application is on hold and no further processing can occur until AMCAS receives transcripts from the following schools"? 😵

All of my transcripts are in, but it's been over 18 hours since I submitted and it still hasn't updated. I'm going to call them ASAP.... This is making me worried. Did you ever figure out what was wrong with yours?

I didn't have this, but I applied with FAP and had a "financial hold" on my application for about 2 days even though I didn't owe anything. It finally disappeared today and now says "ready for review".

Well... I received this message from AMCAS when I emailed them "Please be advised that we experienced a technical issue that prevented any applications from reaching the "Ready for Review" status on 06/05/14. Please be assured that your application was placed in the "Ready for Review" status in the appropriate order." so that's good 🙂

Weird. Mine was submitted on 6/3 but when I click on details under "ready for review" it has the date of status change as 6/5.
