Hi Everyone,

I did a search on this topic but wasn't able to find the exact answer I was looking for so I was hoping someone is able to give me insight on my situation. I am currently in the process of completing my AADSAS as early as I can for the current app cycle. I will have my transcripts sent in next week but the only thing I'll be missing is my letter of recommendations. I read on the ADEA faq that they do not hold up your application processing if the only thing they're missing is the letters. I expect to have all of my letters in by late June, early July. Would it be in my best interest then to just e-submit my AADSAS as soon as I can and let the application process run it's 4 weeks. It was to my understanding that schools will not consider your app complete without the LOR's, but at least if I submit now (rather than late June when I get the LoR's), I will have the whole application processing of AADSAS out of the way already? Also, would schools look negatively towards my app if they've received my AADSAS already but are waiting on my LOR's? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Submit that bad boy!

Your understanding is correct, but I'm adding this for clarification for others who may stumble in (which they likely will since you actually used a descriptive thread title):

Don't wait for your LORs to come in b/c you never know if they'll be delayed. Submit your application now and your LORs will be sent in another mailing.

Send your app as early as possible!!! Your recs will get forwarded to the schools as soon as aadsas receives them. It will take 4 to 6 weeks for aadsas to process your app, if you wait until you have your recs, say July 1st, and then submit your application, it will take 4 to 6 weeks to process your app from that date, so schools will not receive our app until Aug. 1st.

SEND! you are correct. I was talking to a friend of mine (she was accepted to UCSF last December) about this same question and she said that the committee letter was updated a day or two after our Pre-health adviser emailed it out.

Thanks for all the replies. Planning to have it submitted early next week. Good luck everyone.
