I am one of the dummies taking the august MCAT and applying this year. My app is done and I have all my LOR's etc. I understand that I can submit the app now, but i am wondering if anything will be done with my app before MCATs are reported? When are those scores published? (2 months or so?) Do I have a chance in hell?

Submit it now. Many schools may send you a secondary application that you will have finished and your application can still be complete by October when your MCAT score arrives. That would still be considered "early" for some schools. The thing that takes the longest to process in all of this is the initial application to AACOMAS when they have to certify all of your transcripts. Isn't it better to have AACOMAS certify your transcripts and only be waiting for your MCAT then to wait and have them try to process your application with 4000 others in August?
