Quick, possibly stupid, question.

In AACOMAS it seems like you can submit to each school individually. Would I then be able to submit to a school that had no built in secondary so I can work on getting verified while working on the school's that have secondaries embedded in the primaries, or should I just wait until I'm done with those to submit all of the apps at the same time?

If I'm completely off base and have to submit them all at once, then please let me know, but I just wanted to see if I would be able to have some more time to work on these prompts while I wait for verification.

Thanks!

First of all, these aren't secondaries embedded into the primaries, some schools just ask extra questions in their primaries, you will still get separate secondary applications for these schools. And yes, you can submit schools individually if you want. To avoid wasting money, usually people waiting on their new MCAT scores would submit to one school they have no interest in just to get their applications verified, and then submit to schools they actually wanna apply to once they get their new MCAT score.

Hi! Thank you for responding. If I submit to one school, will I not be able to submit to the other schools until I'm verified?

Your good to submit to one school for verification (or whatever reason you want- though I can’t think of any others), and add the rest later, if that’s what you want to do. You can submit to more schools as often as you want to.

PCOM is like you described - the traditional “supplemental essay” is in the primary application.

Are you waiting on an MCAT score?

Hi! No I'm not waiting on an MCAT score. I just don't want to rush these supplemental questions when I can just get verified with one of the schools who doesn't have a supplemental app while I finish these up. Does that make sense? I just hate that these supplemental questions are what is holding up my app from being verified.

As is DMU if you are applying there. I personally love the schools who do that 🙂

This isn't true of all schools. UNE COM includes its secondary questions with the primary application, and the "secondary invitation" is just the fee itself.

Supplemetal question's don't stop you from being verified. AACOMAS "verification" only means that schools are capable of reviewing your entire primary application.

I'm not sure if it's wise to withold your primary from schools for sake of getting your secondary returned relatively faster. I literally don't know if this is a good strategy or not!
