Sorry if this has been discussed before, I tried to do a search but couldn't find anything quite right...

I've already submitted the max number of letters to each of my programs but I just got a new letter in from a peds professor that I know is superior to another letter I've already submitted (and that was subsequently downloaded by all programs). Do you all think that it's a good idea to go ahead and remove the old letter and check in the new one knowing that programs have already downloaded the old one? Am I drawing attention to the old letter, am I showing that I cannot follow instructions? Oy...

Thanks in advance for the help and good luck to everyone on their interviews and such

i have no idea, but there's a member: aprogramdirector that is on the ERAS page, and i think s/he could help you out.

It has been a few years since I did ERAS, but I believe if the program already downloaded the letters, then you cannot switch them out. You should be able to check on ERAS if they downladed it.

Regardless, you could always contact the progams and ask if you could submit an extra letter since you feel it will help you.
