sorry but i tried searching and i couldn't find the answer..i need an answer quickly cuz im sending everything out tonight before i leave town for the next 11 days..i have an open official transcript that i used to input my courses on the application..am i allowed to send this in to aadsas? or is it required to be in a sealed envelope from the registrar? and if i can send it in do i need to fill out a transcript matching form? and on the form do i just leave the part that says "registrar complete:" blank? thanks!

"Official transcript(s) must be imprinted with the school?s seal and or bear the appropriate signature.

AADSAS will not process any transcript that exhibits evidence of tampering."

I'm pretty sure that this means the Transcript is unofficial if opened.

yeah i read that part but my transcript says on it that is official and has the appropriate signature (it isnt' a student copy)..is that not good enough?

Don't quote me on this, but I think I remember reading that the transcript cannot be issued to the student and must be mailed to AADSAS. Both of my universities print on the official copy "issued to student" if I pick it up (I ordered some for myself a while back and opened one from each to marvel at the watermarks and pretty colors)...Yet another step AADSAS has instituted to halt fradulent activity and ensure the fidelity of your application....

thanks..i think what i'll do is just send the form in to the registrar..i might as well just be safe

I spoke to AADSAS about this. They said that it was ok to send the self addressed transcript, but it has to be sealed. Part of the purpose of including the transcript matching form is that you grant permission for AADSAS to open the transcript that has been addressed to you.
