Hey guys,

So i've just e-submitted my application. Waiting on transcripts and LOR's to be received.
My question is on some of the schools i've applied for they say to send the additional fees
"AT THE SAME TIME" as when i send my aadsas materials.

Does that mean i pay for it now? or until transcripts, LORs, and GPA verifications have been done?

You don't need to rush and do it tonight or anything. But start working on it. Those schools won't have your primary application for a while, but it's better to have your fee paid when they do get it.

You can pay it now, so they can receive it early. Once they receive your application from AADSAS, your application can be considered complete and ready for review. If you wait until they receive your application, it will be put on hold until they get the payment.

If you are sending the payment via check, make sure you put your AADSAS ID# on it.

Ah thanks! But just to clarify, when you say start working on it, you mean to say start paying for them, but there's no rush.

Wait schools ask for secondary supplementary fees before they even look at the first application? Wtf? Why? So are secondary applications not even an advancement?

Some want an application fee. Those you can just go pay any time. Pacific, for example. They won't review your primary app (AADSAS) without it. They don't have a secondary app.

Some want a fee and supplemental application without soliciting it. Western, for example. You go pay the fee and fill out their supplemental info. They too won't review your primary app until you have submitted those things.

Then there are others who you will wait on to be asked to pay and/or complete a secondary/supplemental. These are the schools that review/screen/filter your primary application before deciding who gets to stay in the game. Midwestern, for example. I guess you could consider this category 'advancing' in their process.

Oh and one more question. For schools like Columbia, they advise that we submit our supplementals within 2 weeks of them receiving aadsas materials.

Info is posted on school websites. There is also a link Supplemental Info on the left side of your AADSAS portal. That's a full collection of schools and requirements. Double check these with schools. But I found it to be accurate.

The Pacific fee is just for Pacific. You create an account on their site and pull out your credit card.
