Hm.. do you guys just sumbit secondary with only few revisions or polish it week after week and then submit it..

I've been working on them quite a while now to polish them but thinking I should just submit them asap

happy medium?

i'm not giving mine nearly the amount of tweaking i gave my PS, but i'm still editing them a bit. my pattern has been: force myself to write it in one sitting, walk away for a day or two, edit, submit (if i feel good about it) or give it another day or two and one more edit. granted, i haven't *actually* submitted so many, but i have a bunch prepped and ready. (i'm having photo issues.)

Last year, I went for one extreme (submitted every secondary within 2 days) and got rejected across the board. The whole time that I was waiting for interviews/decisions, I sat there thinking "damn... I could have done a better job on my essays". This time I am going for the other extreme and am giving my secondary essays an obsessive amount of attention. Will it pay off? Who knows, but that is my strat.

As others have mentioned, at this point, it is possible that many schools are still trying to finalize this year's class, so I don't think there is any point in submitting within 1 or 2 days if you could spend an extra couple days to polish it up.

I'm at the point where I'm still waiting for a pokey LOR writer to get his letter sent in (he knew about it in April...), so I'm just getting everything ready to send in when the letter's done. Even if I submit the secondaries now, I won't be complete, and they don't look at your application until you are complete, right?

I have polished my Columbia essays from the day I received it on June 25.. I think submitting early is better although the quality might not be as good as the one that's polished as PS
