Hi There Pre-Dent community,
Everyone's postings on this website have been super helpful to me throughout the course of my application and DAT prep...And now that I am pretty much wrapping up the process, I would like to help contribute to the free flow of information. Hopefully you will find it helpful.

QR: 15 (39.0%)😡 MATH SUCKS

QR: Ok this section sucks and there is no way around it. If you don't have the best math background, like me, it's gonna be hard. I also spent the least amount of time prep-ing for this section, about two weeks (stupid move on my part)... I used the Math DAT destroyer. Overall the book was reflective of the Math tested on the actual DAT. But I only went through it 1.5 times and didn't really practice my timing. I was burning out by the time I reached Math study on my schedule and just didn't have enough energy into giving it my all.
If you're bad at Math I suggest starting it little by little from earlier on.
TS: Destroyer, Destroyer, Destroyer👍👍....and when you think you've had enough of it...do it again. Memorize it. Yes the Destroyer works you hard...maybe even a bit harder than you actually really need...but it's totally worth it...I had almost no suprizes on the actual DAT. Do the orgo road maps. Use a Bio text book for any of the concepts that might seem vague to you. Make sure that you know why each answer is wrong not only why the right one is right. Know chem concepts. know them cold.
PAT: CDP. I bought the 10 test package. I started out with a 15 and by my 10th test I got a 25. I did the first 5 tests with decent improvement. (15-19) Reviewed every question and figured out why I got it wrong...and then scored 22-25 on tests 6-10
I found key holes on the actual DAT to be less straight forward. Angle ranking is a bastard any way you slice it. The cubes and pattern folding were not as crazy on the real DAT as some of the later tests in CDP. So if you can do those last few tests well...then you're set.
AA: Overall: I worked hard. I sacrificed my whole summer for this God forsaken test...when all my friends were traveling to exotic countries this summer, I stayed home pounding DATs...and it paid off BIG TIME. The week before the test I did the Top Score tests. They just helped get me in the rythem and build stamina...but I was scoring 19's on them though...the info on topscore is totally not reflective of the actual DAT...take it with a huge grain of salt. but I would still suggets taking it because it was decent practice for reading comp. and QR timing.
I feel great! And I feel free for the first time in three years!!!!
Good luck to you all!
Feel free to submit any questions.
