Such a thing as too many transcripts?

I'm hoping to apply to med school next summer and am currently finishing post-bacc classes DIY. I attended a top 20 school as a freshman and then transferred to another top 20 school where I finished about half the pre-med requirements. A year and a half after graduating, I went back to finish the rest of the requirements at a regional liberal arts school that I am currently still attending. So far, I have 3 transcripts.

I am considering moving to another state in January for a relationship (partner is moving back home and I would really like to go with her), but would have to finish my last two classes at another school, and would therefore acquire another transcript. The school would be a state school that I doubt is very well known outside of the region.

Would having 4 transcripts reflect poorly upon me? I know moving for a relationship isn't a very compelling reason, but life is short and I'm not happy where I am, and definitely won't be once my partner leaves. I have received all A's in my post-bacc classes thus far and my undergrad GPA was ~3.8.

I have 6, and maybe another soon. I'm not worried. You shouldn't be, either, unless one of those transcripts is from an online school like University of Phoenix or DeVry and it contains your pre-requisites.

Moving for a relationship can be compelling unless you're leaving a degree program in which you have poured in hours that may not be transferrable. It would make it better if they were your spouse, but I don't think anyone would ask other than admissions for residency purposes. Life happens.

I had 5, and no schools have cared. It's just more of a pain sending them in for your app more than anything else.

I have 7! The transcript fees were fun. Don't worry about it 🙂

This makes me feel a little better....my pre-med advisor said it would be better to stay where I am, unless I was moving for an "important reason" (I didn't offer any specific reasons), but that it probably wouldn't count against me regardless. My parents (and according to them, a few physician friends) seem to think this would be a fatal mistake. I'm not even sure who to believe at this point...

I know of one applicant with 17. You're fine.
