Any periodicals you subscribe to or especially like? I get two with my APhA membership, but I wonder if there are other helpful and applicable (to community pharmacy) magazines you would recommend.

BTW - I'm talking about professional journals, not Penthouse. Already got that suggestion from my RPh 🙄

That's not fair. I get 2 very important journals. Golf and Golf Digest.

Oh well, I get AJHP ...Archives of Internal Med..NEJM..

i hear that the Pharmacist's Letter is really good. i heard they had a free subscription for students, but i emailed them and found out it's free only for 3rd and 4th year students. however, you can get a half-price discount for 1st and 2nd year. it's got a lot of late-breaking info in the pharm world.

I've been reading the Pharmacist's Letter this week at work, since things have been slow. I'm sorry to report that it is written at a grade-school level. Yes, it covers current topics, but at such a high level as to render the information meaningless.

Drug Topics, Pharmacy Times, and US Pharmacist (all free, subscribe on their websites) are decent magazines more applicable to community practice. Actually, if you tell Drug Topics you work in a hospital or health systems practice, they will send the magazine with a few extra pages that pertain solely to hospital practice.

Your RPh recommended Penthouse? Sexual Harrassment!! 😉

Pharmacy Times is free and is pretty decent.
