I moved to the US at 17 and my ELS issue was addressed in my personal statement.

I need a list of MD/DO schools that I might have better chance of getting into as I realize my statistics are not exactly a diamond in the rough. The list will be used in the future as I discuss with my pre-med adviser. Please help and thank you so much!!

I would recommend retaking your MCAT to get a more balanced score of at least 8 in each section. However if you choose not to retake the MCAT - I would apply for DO school admission. Just call each school to see if they have MCAT score cut offs for each section so that you know you are at least considered.

Most DO schools will accept a 6, but it is the lowest score. You could be auto screened, and I wouldn't discuss it in your PS. I would also have the readers on here look over your PS to make sure it stands out, and use your secondaries to address the 6. However, I agree that retaking it after working on the verbal section will offer you a better chance at acceptance all around...

I am a 2nd time applicant and I spoke with the majority of schools that i got rejected from last year. Loyola told me directly that they don't give interviews to anyone with a 6 or below in Verbal so I definitelyyyy recommend focusing on that as your Phys. and Bio are really good. At least an 8-10, 10 would be great and you should be pretty decent for some MD schools and def for the majority of D.O. schools. I personally got accepted at Lecom-Bradenton with a P8/V 10/ B10, 3.1 undergrad, 3.7grad.
