i have some doubts....kaplan review book ...which edition is good to study..the 1 which has 2 vol separate
or the edition which has a single book?

how much time one should spend on kaplan review book?
it has more than 700 800 pages..i fear it might take all my time.

to go thru nbde with 90 and above takes 6 months of hard work...right?

Please don't waste your precious time in reading the Kaplan NBDE book. It is used for reference purpose only. I own the old one which comes in 2 volumes. And I used it only to read more of topics that the dental decks didn't cover it well. It cost me less than 10 dollar(CD)from ebay.

Make dental decks your bible or whatever holy book you believe in it and know it by heart, which you can accomplished it by 3-4 times revision. Get the latest dental decks( 2006 ), I found it to be more complete and better than the old ones( this is my view, which might be different from others), I own 2004 on CD so I know the difference.

The only kaplan book that I have studied well, because it is concise and to the point, is the 4 lecture notes( Ana, Phy, Bio, Path+Micro)for Usmle step one.

Yes. In my first trial I only prepared 5 weeks for it. I passed, but with score that will get you no where. And I also made the mistake of not studying from dental decks and using my school notes more(UERM), at that time I didnt even own kaplan NBDE book.

By the way are you an FTD.
