summer anatomy remediation

It looks like I'll probably fail gross my first semester.
What type of summer gross anatomy courses are out there.
My prof. told me of one in freaking oklahoma....but f that. I don't want to go to OK.
Does anybody know of where else they hold summer remediation gross anatomy? Especially in big cities.

Thats cool that you guys have that option to make it up over the summer. Here at USF, if you fail a course you have to repeat the entire year, even classes that you aced.

Pretty harsh.

At my school you can remediate up to 2 classes over the summer. If you don't pass them or if you fail more than 2 classes, then you have to repeat the entire 1st year. If you fail anything the second time around, you're outta here.

damn dude, what % do you need to pass a course? ours is set at 75% and we've had a few people fail a sequence here and there.

BU has one. so does NYU and Tulane. every year the aamc publishes a list of the medschools that are offering summer courses for outside students. i think this year's should come out sometime next semester. . .hey, i might see you there! we'll see. . .

NYU and Tulane would fuqin rock. Spending the summer in NYC or the dirty NO is soooooo much better than podunk oklahoma. Even though we would have to take anatomy again, I'm sure it would be much easier the second time. I just want to get this disaster of a first semester behind me and not have to repeat the entire year. I am just so depressed in this crappy little town that my med school is in. I will never practice in a small town.

70%, no one has failed a course yet and I hope it stays that way.

at least ya'll get the chance to do a remidial course (or if really lucky take a test) and stay with your class.

At ross you repeat that semester and depending on how you do overall in your other courses (neuro and physio), you could be kicked out of the school.

Thats an extra 20G for failing 1 class.

My medical school offers a remedial Gross Anatomy class that lasts for 4 weeks. If you are having to retake the class I would highly recommend it, as the teacher is awesome. That is if you can stand being in Little Rock, AR for a month. I like it here, but I can see how someone from a bigger city might find it boring.

Sooo wrong. At USF, you can repeat one course over the summer if you get approval (likely). ( I know this since a friend of mine is going through the process now). You fail two, and you have to repeat the year, if you get approval by the board. If you fail it again, they have the option of kicking you out.
