So I'm going out of state next year, and have a thousand dollars each year of college in scholarship money only to be used in my home state, Michigan. I was thinking about doing some summer classes at a community college to use up the money. What pre-reqs would you recommend me taking there and getting out of the way over the summer that would most likely transfer credits??

You're only in high school just relax and enjoy your summer.

If you do want to take classes at the CC to use up the scholarship money take some random interesting things like intro to photography, a odd language they offer, drawing class, filmmaking class or something that you could have fun doing. I wouldn't worry about transferring credits or taking pre-reqs. Enjoy your summer!

I've merged your hSDN thread here to Pre-Allo. Please don't post a thread in more than one forum. 🙂

dont take pre reqs at a CC especially since you are going toa 4 year. IF you wanted to take some classes id recomend taking some breadth classes to help you graduate faster, as who cares where you take your random psych/philosophy class. But as others said....go have fun i mean you have 4 years to be neuortic and worry each and every day about how hard it is to get into med school and how you probably wont ever make it😛

I took 5 credits of biology at a CC while still in high school. It was a good thing to do. The class was fairly easy, I got credit for it at my 4 year college, and AMCAS will factor in the CC grades into my gpa.
I would recommend taking biology or chemistry. good luck!

I recommend taking an EMT course at your community college. It will give you a job skill to earn money while on future breaks, would be a great way to assess your interest in patient care, and is pretty fun too.

Chill out. Really.
