Summer Before P1

I'll start my P1 year on August 17th, but will be moving away June 1st. I need to find a job out there and am currently on the hunt. I've only worked summers, but I spent one summer at an independent community pharmacy and another in a hospital. I have PTCB certification too.

What should I expect in terms of pay? I earned $8/hr in the community pharmacy and $13 in the hospital. However, I've heard that retail pharmacies start off paying only minimum wage, and I wouldn't earn any intern pay until after I finish P1. I'm hoping this isnt the case, yet I turn to you, SDN.

Have you checked with your school? It apparently depends on your state when you're considered an intern and when your hours start counting towards your mandatory hours.

In WA, you can get your intern license once you're accepted and finished all your pre-reqs. Although your hours don't start counting towards your mandatory hours until after you finish your first quarter of school.
