Hi everyone, I was just wondering if anyone has ever taken summer classes while studying for the DAT and how was your experience with it? Over the summer I will be taking Cell biology with lab, retaking Gen Chem and a writing course... I'm used to handling a large amount of classes in a semester but I also want to take the DAT very seriously...any input would be helpful!

I wouldnt recommend it, unless youre a quick study. Take a month or 2 w/o distractions to prepare for the DAT, that way youll more likely kick butt and get a score you like.

I only took a lab and did 15 hours a research a week over summer and still thought it was really hard to put 100% into the DAT. I made sure to have at least 1 month of pure studying 7am-4pm.. It's important to invest your time in the DAT! Some people can do it all though, I know plenty of people who study for the DAT over Spring semester with a kaplan course but it's difficult. You need to make sure you have the drive and organization to do everything at once but I agree with the guy above me. Once you start studying for the DAT you'll realize the large amount of material you need to know and re-learn and it's overwhelming so take some time off to just sleep breathe and eat DAT! Good luck with studying and everything.

thanks guys for the input! i'll definitely put your opinions into consideration
