I'm wondering if it looks bad if I retake a pre-req in the summer. I took Physics about 7 years ago and got a C+, DO admissions offices told me I should retake it simply because they want prereqs to be more recent than 7 years. I can't take it during the regular terms because a lot of Canadian Med Schools don't count Prereqs and would drop my course load below the requisite (need a full course load)

Doesn't matter. College is not high school where they chop off half the class in summer. You often have to work harder during the summer to keep the pace.

A lot of Canadian Med Schools don;t consider summer classes in GPA. I was just curious about American schools.

Thanks

The only thing I would recommend is try to avoid community college for taking pre-reqs. I know of 1 admissions counselor (US MD school) who detests that.
