  1. Pre-Dental
ARe there any predental summer programs out there that are only 1-4 weeks in length? Most programs that I have found are 6 weeks long. The only program with 1 week length I found is the New Jersey Gateway to Dentistry, are there any other ones besides this one?

Unless they changed it, it is a 2 week program (usually 9 days).

Regardless, it is a wonderful program. I did it myself back in 2006. Definitely worth it.

are any of these programs available for people matriculating in the fall?

i know upenn has a similar program to umdnj (gateway program) for 1 week (ithink just double check on their website or google).

by 'marticulating inthefall" i think u mean getting into ds. if so then i think most of the programs are for pre dental students, and not people who have already applied to dental schools (bc they want to get pre dental studnts 2 generate interest in dentistry).

hope that helps,
mr awesome

I like the sound of this program. Are there any in NYC? Well how do you find them? TIA!

True. The program at UMDNJ also caters to recent graduates - students who graduated but still aren't entirely sure if dentistry is the right path for them. Not for students matriculating in DS for the Fall cuz they already know (should) what they want and are getting into.

I think dentaltrain was just looking to get a head start on some things that will be taught in DS.
