Summer Grade Update for 2011 Cycle

Hi,

I am planning to take Molecular Cell Bio / Biochemistry / Human Physiology over the summer. I am only taking them since I haven't taken any upper bio class (I was an engineering major) yet and I would love to somehow reflect that on my 2011 application.

As far as the timeline goes, AADSAS wouldn't let you update the summer grade until late november. My concern is that if the grade won't be available until 8/15/10, wouldn't it be a risky game to wait till these grades come out? I see many advantages to submit the application before july, but I feel like DS loves to see that you took some upper div sciences at the same time.

What should I do?

I am doing the same thing. What I am going to do is just send in my transcript from the summer to AADSAS so that they can calculate my grade into my GPA. Also, are you sure you won't be able to update your grade on AADSAS this summer? I think you should be able to do it. They will just send your updates application to the dental schools you applied to.

Academic Update (AU) won't be available until late November. If you choose to submit your grades without summer grades, in the interim you can send to the schools directly your new transcript once the grades post.

It says can't update until Nov...this doesn't make sense
