Summer program bt. 1st and 2nd year

I was accepted into this program between my first and second year in Puerto Rico through the NHSC. One of the requirements is to get liability (malpractice) coverage. I asked my school about this, and they told me that they don't offer coverage for people in bt MS I and II. Would I have to personally purchase coverage? Does anyone know other options I may have to get coverage? Thanks for the help.
