Looking for some advice. I have the opportunity to do medical research at a medical school in which I am applying to this summer (but it requires a 30+ minute commute) or I have the choice of doing research at my undergrad with no commute. I would find both of the research jobs interesting.

So my question is: Do you think doing research at the school in which I am applying to will carry significant weight? or should I not bother with rush hour.

Choose the topic that you'd like best, in the lab where you'd get the most hands-on work, and if you're interested, where you'll have the opportunity to continue working next year. I certainly wouldn't pass up an opportunity over a 30 minute drive, so I personally wouldn't factor that into my decision unless I had no car.
