Hi everyone,

Hope all is well. I was wondering if you guys could help me out in my search for what I want to spend this summer doing. I would like to spend this summer volunteering in a dental office/clinic where services are provided to low-income families. I feel like that is where I would be more useful as Spanish is my native language and I'm from the NYC area, so I could serve as a translator. I tried looking around the internet for such a place, but to no avail. Do any of you happen to know how would be a better way to approach finding a clinic (is that what it is called?) to volunteer in?

Thanks,
Marlene

look up the new york dental society. There should be a local chapter near you somewhere, don't bother with the state association as they will probably be too big to be much use. Call them and ask them where they refer people to when they call and say they need care but are low income. They will probably have a list of clinics.
