lol... this is such a waste of a thread but I didn't want to single anyone out by posting it in a thread where the mistake was made...

I noticed a while ago that EVERY person who responds to Sumstorm calls him/her Sunstorm. Every single time. I've been watching responses since then to see if anyone gets it right, and no one has. It's just funny how the human mind works... that everyone would end up making the same mistake without realizing it 😀

Anyway sumstorm, hope this corrects it for you because I'm sure you've noticed too 😛

LOL Shanomong.

Summerstorm is my actual name.... but I didn't actually notice! Oddly enough, in person I have issues with a lot of people calling me Heather rather than Summer. Apparently other women named Summer have that issue as well.

Thanks for the clarification! Sunstorm is actually a pretty good nick! 😉

Guilty!! It is weird how the mind works... that's so funny that you noticed and have been keeping tabs. LOL I would've done the same exact thing.

lol! i just did it

Wow, i'm so confused, your real name is "Summerstorm"? or "Summer"? or "Heather"?

😕

Don't mind me

Why would someone call you Heather instead of Summer? Is that like an "Anthony" -> "Tony" or "Jack" -> "John" kinda thing?

Gee, I wonder if the wait is getting to you? 😀

My real name is Summerstorm. Most people call me Summer (a little less of a mouthful.) I have no idea why on earth people mix Summer up with Heather, but it is common (happens in a lot of places with lots of different people.) I think it is because Heather is a more traditional female name than Summer, but the ends sound the same, and it has the same rhythm to it. Even close friends occasionally do it.

I always read it right in my head, so not guilty! I swear I knew a Summer Storm, or at least something very similar to that... she was my age though. And, in Oklahoma.

A pretty name, at any rate. Sumstorm!

Thanks! I have met a lot of Summers...Summer Dawn, Summer Dusk, Summer Rain, Summer Rose. I havealso met January, November, March, April, May, June, July, August, & September. Also Monday, Winter, Wind, Nova, Stellar, Solstice, Star, Skye, & Autumn. 0f those, only 2 were male.

There's a girl out there named March? (no offense if anyone here is named March lol)

That's a very cool name, it's a nice variation on Summer.

DollyLlama, dad is oneida, so my name is traditional...well, except that its in english.

Actually, not a lot of hippies, just if you have an unusual name, people like to introduce you to others with unusual names.

There are several girls out there named March. Monday, November, and September were the odd ones for me. Monday was pronounced Mon-dee (not a heavy emphasis on the dee-day part...accent on the first syllable with teh second dropping off), November went my Nov, and and September went by Sept, kind of like 'scepter.' I think, when you have an odd name as a child, you kind of belong to a bit of a club, and you run into all sorts of others with unusual names.

Also, with really odd names, there are advantages and disadvantages. People remember your name....and remember negatives and positives connected with it...so most people that I met with odd names were over-achievers in general (maybe to compensate for the names!)

Haha, I can't believe you didn't notice. I just thought you were being polite this whole time 😀

That's definitely an unusual name, but very pretty. Not like Apple. Why someone would name their kid Apple....

I just searched my own posts for the keyword "sumstorm." I have written it twice and spelled it correctly.

What is the prize?🙂

I haven't gotten one of those lately so I will gratefully accept. I'd like to thank my mom and dad, my high school trig teacher, my best friend from first grade . . .

lol you get a big fat thumbs up 👍 😀

Anyone I've ever met with a month name has been born in a different month. I still haven't decided if I approve of that or not.

I don't think that September is that uncommon, just a little Southern, generally.
