hi buckyball.. i interviewed there in late january, and was offered a spot a few days later. i really loved the school. the facility was superb, i got the impression that the school does a very good job giving its students solid clinicl training as well as good basic science background. i was told from the third and fourth year students who were giving a tour that their class did very well on the board, ranked 4th or 5th, and the placement rate for specialty hovers over 10% every year. their patient pool is more than enough as there seems to be a good reputation for the clinic among the buffalo residents that they keep coming back and also bringing their family members generation after generation. overall, i was very impressed with the school. and my main goal which is to keep the loan down will be better realized when i go there as opposed to private schools since i'm a ny resident. so i guess there's a good chance i'll attend there.
as for the interview, interview is the first thing in the agenda, after a brief video tape about the school/program. the interview was with two faculty members lasting about 30min or so. usual questions, like why your major, and about my background/experiences, whetehr or not i had any dental expereince, ... some unexpected questions were what professionalism means to you, what do you see urself doing in 10 years... not too difficult. overall, it was a pretty relaxed conversation, i asked many questions regarding DVD curriculum, finance, etc. it was my first interview, and u can figure how nerve-recking it must have been. but as long as you are sincere with your answers and being yourself, you will be fine.
i hope this helped. good luck and take care. if you have questions, feel free to write me.
