Hey, everyone. I have a question for all the students who have interviewed at SUNY this application cycle. What topics did you have to write about for your short pre-interview essay? I'm only asking you to answer if you're allowed to talk about it. If not, I'm okay finding out when I get there. I don't want to get anyone in trouble lol.

Thanks very much guys! Good luck to everyone awaiting replies and congrats to all those already accepted!

I think the goal of the essay is to see if it is really the same person who wrote the original essay ( in the application) and if you can think on your feet. By giving the topic away it sort of defeats the purpose of this interview essay. Any way I think it is random and changes all the time.

I agree, although I will say it is nothing at all to be intimidated by. My essay prompt was different from my friend's who interviewed on a different day, so I'm guessing they do have a few alternating topics.

Thanks for the replies! You were right, it was nothing to stress about.
