hey guys. So i submitted my application to SUNY last sunday (11/03) and was invited for an interview 5 days later (11/08, my birthday)!! That was super quick! i was just wondering if SUNY invites people for interviews easily? does anyone know what percentage of applicants they interview? Thanks...

They probably deliberate on set days (every few weeks) and send out a bunch of letters all at once. I submitted my application in mid-October and got my interview letter also dated 11/08.

I also recieved a very fast response from SUNY. I recieved a letter from them dated 6 days after they recieved the complete application.

well i guess i'm one of the unlucky ones that has been put on "hold" without even an interview and i submitted my application end of September! Congratz and good luck....how were ur stats?

my stats are Ok. I have a 3.2 cum. GPA(rough start) and a 3.6 Science gpa. my AA was 330 and TS was 340. but i do have strong extracurricular activies including working on a research project at SCCO with one of the professors and volunteer work at a free government run eye clinc in Mexico. what about you?

I just called SUNY and they told me that they had downloaded my OAT scores and that I would receive an update via snail mail in a few weeks. (I finished my applications on 10/5 and took the OAT a week before that.)

I feel that my application is competitive, but who knows, maybe I don't fit what they're looking for. Or, maybe there's something specific about my case that's taken up more time than others.

Either way, I'm just trying to be patient and hope for the best.

I just received an invitation to interview at SUNY. It took almost 2 months. But still.. Who-hoo!

OMgggggg hahaha i JUST got my interview invitation right now! im like...SOOOO excited. like totally falling off my chair. hahah
i got mine really fast too! i submitted it mid November, got the "we received your application" mail a bit after a week (there was thanksgiving in between) and i got the invitation a week after that mail. omg guys 😀!!!!!!! did i mention im so excited? 🙂 im calling monday to schedule my interview!! anyone else going soon too?
