I've only applied to 2 US schools so I can't say I know too much about the supplement apps... but I was under the impression that I have to write essays for SUNY. But today they emailed me to pay the $40 process fee for their supplement app - but as far as I'm concerned, I can't find anything on their website on this. (OptomCAS school directory only gives me link to "payment page", which i just paid.)

Is their supplement app basically the "additional questions" part that they had me fill out before I e-submitted? But it was just basically asking for SAT/ACT scores though. Isn't there more to this?

yes the "additional questions" is the supplemental app. once you submit the $40, then u are done

On a similar topic, how are we supposed to remember our exact SAT scores? Can we call the organization - do they have all scores archived of everyone who ever took it?

contact collegeboard, they are the ones who run the SATs. they have them on file and if i recall correctly its $10 to get a copy sent to a school.

do you need to send a copy to the school?

I am currently having the same problem. My high school registrar can't find my scores. I took the SAT and ACT (did better on this so will send those scores). Both SAT and ACT told me that for a fee they will go through their archives to search for scores. However, if it no guarantee they will find your scores! And the fee is non refundable. ACT told me that it costs $30-35 to order them on their website and more if done over the phone. SAT is a similar price. If you want a copy for yourself in addition to sending it directly to the school you have to pay twice that amount. I tried ordering my ACT scores right now and SUNY Optometry is not listed in their school code database so now I am going to have to email/call SUNY Optometry to even send it to them.

I honestly don't understand why a graduate school wants SAT/ACT scores. Most people were 15-17 when taking these tests and we are obviously different people. The biggest problem I have with it is that it discriminates against students that go to community college before transferring to university. Here in California community college's are excellent and the University of California system does not require SAT/ACT's as a junior transfer. When I was at community college my first 2 years of college I was taught by professors who also taught the same classes at Stanford and some UC's!

🙁 Boo-urns. Just found out from the forum that SUNY usually fills up by the end of November. Boo-urns once again.

If they filled up by the end of november, then why would they bother offering interviews into december??
