Nope, haven't heard a thing yet. But still hanging in there. I'm sure you'll hear from them soon enough.

i haven't heard from them either, and im In-State... but i know a few people i met on interviews that have interviewed there already.

they never returned my calls or emails either, and I didnt hear anything from them until they called to offer an interview

I just interviewed there today. All I got before the invite was a application complete e-mail, then a call about the interview.

The school is really nice, amazing facilities, nice people, decent location, and cheap!

Yeah, I have called so many times and left so many messages...I emailed Dr. Cinotti to ask her basically what the deal was, and finally they called me back. All they said was that they are backed up and I should keep waiting. I was like, gee, thanks.

They gave me a pretty quick response. I sent in my application on Oct. 2nd and they offered me an interview last week. So they still send out interview invitations so don't lose your hope.

don't loose hope....stony brook is a small school that gets lots of applications so waiting is normal. just hang in there. stony is an awesome school...great faculty and great administration.

Just make sure that if you do get a call...which I recieved early one morning about 2 weeks ago...that you know for sure the date that you can/want/is most convenient to interview. ITS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE to contact them to change it. I got an interview spot at Buffalo the day after I had given nov 30th to Stoney Brook...so...I didnt want to fly from utah->NY 2x in 2 weeks...
Buffalo, however, was great...they actually moved my date up one week so that I didnt have to spend another 500 bucks. Yay Buffalo!...
But I guess I will still say yes to the first of the 2 to offer me a spot...shallow? probably.
