same goes fo me too.when i spoke to then last wk or so they said that their deadline is somewhere in march and they do not have rolling admissions,so i guess we have to wait till then.

Have any of you heard the rumor, that they are going to open up more positions for advanced standing? I heard this. But I don't know if it is true.
Are any of you citizens or green card holders and are any of you from New York or reside here? Let me know. When I spoke to Olivia Schmitt she said that they only fill one spot per year and there have been the exceptions of 2-3 as well. Also if we start over in the 1st or 2nd year like their site says do we have to take basic sciences over? even if we pass the national boards on part 1 that shows we have the knowledge to move on from these classes just as the Americans?-Bill

Hi. I'm from New York, applied in August but didn't hear anything too. Whenever I call there is a voice mail, so i can't even check if my file is complete. I think we'll have to take some basic science again just like in NYU.

thanks for the reply . I mean I son't mind taking over any basics as long as they are not the ones that were on the exam. where are you in new york I am on long island-nassau county and grew up here what about you?

I'm from Ukraine, just 2nd year here. Live in Brooklyn, work in Manhattan. I think that you'll have to take pathology and microbiology again. At least that's how its in NYU.

I applied to stony brook in june 2005 for school year 2006. I have recieved a letter today stating that "the stony brook university is not considering applicants for advanced standing program" also they will be refunding my check soon too. 🙁

yes, they did stated that in the certified letter that i recieved today. 🙂

Hi. They told me they have no more positions left as of now for the Adv. Stand. program. They're refunding my check only, not my whole document package. 😀 Though I had to call them 3 times to ask when they're actually planning to send the check.

Does one need to be a US citizen or a permanent resident to apply to SUNY or Buffalo?? Thats what the school websites says!! 😕
