Hi! I was wondering if anyone who applied in the past could tell me what was on the SUNY supplemental app? I am applying this cycle and would like to prepare beforehand. For example, is it just short answer questions or will I have to prepare another long statement for them? thank you!

There were a couple yes or no questions and then the following three this past cycle:
1. Are there any circumstances about which you want the Admissions Committee to be aware? If so, explain below.
2. What leadership qualities do you have? Provide examples? (Please limit your answers to 50-200 words)
3. SUNY College of Optometry is a vibrant community of engaged student leaders, faculty, and staff members. Please
describe how you intend to make strong contributions--and add value to--the SUNY College of Optometry community
during your time as an OD student. Please give examples of how you made strong contributions to a particular community
in the past.

Also do you know any other supplements from other schools? Any help would be appreciated!

I don't see a word count on my application for that SUNY question....mine was about 700 words though.

I also applied to Ohio State and their supplemental was:
Why are you interested in pursuing your optometric education at OSU? 250 words
What unique characteristics will you contribute to the OSU class of 2019? 250 words
Tell us about a decision you had to make. 500 words
If you think your GPA does not reflect you academic abilities explain. 250 words

The only other school I applied to was Houston and their supplemental did not require any long responses. Hope that helps!
