Hey I just read this in my school newspaper and I wanted to share it with the forum in case anyone is choosing to go to a SUNY dental school. My paper reports that SUNY schools will have a 41% hike next year to help New York's economy. Wow 41%, don't get me wrong SUNY schools are very cheap for residents of the state but this might change things. My article didn't say anything about the dental schools in particular but I am forced to assume that those are included. I hope I am wrong, but this might drastically change the tuition next year.

i heard it only applies to the undergraduate institutions.

Yeah it's the same across the US. States just love to use tuition to bolster failing economies. It's such a great idea...make it harder for kids to afford higher ed., so that they can't get better jobs and pay more taxes which is what the state would benefit from so much more. Kind of a ridiculous fix. They're hiking it in CT too at all the state schools including the dental school.

Hey, watch your mouths. Us deadbeats are sick and tired of having our services cut back just so you over achievers can keep getting a cheap education and then go on to make those big bucks.

Yeah, I hate those kids!! If I was president I'd just tax the heck out of the rich because then they'll naturally want to invest more, the stock market outlook will improve, companies will hire more people, and the economy will recover!! Oh...wait... 😉
